La start-up "Ethera", porté par Yves Bigay (DSM/Dir) et Thu-Hoa Tran-Thi du laboratoire "Edifices Nanométriques" (IRAMIS-SPAM), est lauréate du concours national d'aide à la création d'entreprises de technologies innovantes, du Ministère de la Recherche. Le projet porte sur sur la fabrication et la commercialisation de capteurs à base de matériaux poreux permettant la mesure et l'élimination de la pollution de l'air intérieur. C'est un projet mixte : CEA-CNRS, CEA-DSM & DRT et entre les centres de Saclay et Grenoble.

ETHERA, managed by Yves Bigay, former technology transfer manager of the CEA Division for Material Sciences, won an award for Best Innovative Company in the Creation Development Category.
ETHERA develops and commercializes simple solutions for measuring and disposing of chemical pollutants. These solutions are based on the technology of porous color sensors developed by Thu-Hoa Tran-Thi of the SPAM/Francis Perrin Laboratory (CEA-CNRS). ETHERA focuses in particular on the hygiene and security markets, as well as the air quality inside public and privates places. CEA-Leti is also a partner of ETHERA.
