We are pleased to welcome Agnès Kuchly, who joined the IRAMIS Directorate on July 1st, 2026 as Deputy Director for Research Support, succeeding Patricia Lenormand.
On this occasion, she looks back on her career path and the professional experience that led her to join the Institute:
I joined the IRAMIS Directorate on July 1st as Deputy Director for Research Support, succeeding Patricia Lenormand.
I have spent most of my career within the CEA’s Nuclear Energy Division (DEN), followed by the Energy Division (DES).
I first held a number of management positions overseeing procurement and finance teams, as well as management controllers, supporting the DEN’s research units at CEA Paris-Saclay.
In 2015, I joined the strategic programme office responsible for nuclear R&D, where I supported programme managers on budget-related matters, including multi-year planning, major investment projects, milestones and contractual commitments.
I then contributed to the creation and structuring of the Energy Programmes Directorate, established within the DES in 2020.
At the beginning of 2024, I joined the CEA General Directorate to provide cross-functional support, primarily in procurement and finance, for the Convergence project, the CEA’s management system modernisation programme.
