Getting to L’Orme des Merisiers

The CEA Saclay Research Center is located on the Saclay Plateau, approximately 20 km southwest of Paris.

SPEC (Building 772) is located on the Orme des Merisiers campus of the CEA Saclay Research Center. Orme des Merisiers is situated outside the main CEA center.

Getting here by car

Find the best route using Gmap, Mappy or Via Michelin. Enter the following as your destination: “CEA Paris-Saclay – Orme des Merisiers” (Gmap) or “Route de l’Orme, Saint-Aubin, 91190“.

Getting here by train or bus

From Paris or the CDG and Orly airports, take RER Line B toward Saint-Rémy-les-Chevreuse to Massy-Palaiseau or Le Guichet (approximately 25 and 35 minutes from Paris, and 1 hour 5 minutes and 1 hour 15 minutes from CDG Airport, respectively). Local buses and CEA shuttles are available from these stations. Note: From Orly Airport, first take the Orlyval to Antony station.

To plan your trip to SPEC, use the local public transportation website. Enter “Orme des Merisiers, Saint-Aubin” in the destination field.

On site

The main entrance to L’Orme des Merisiers is located on the D128, 400 meters from the Saint-Aubin roundabout between the RD306 and the D128.

Once you enter L’Orme des Merisiers, continue straight for about 5 minutes all the way to the end of the long straight road, then turn right when you can; SPEC is the only building at 772/774. Inside the building, SPEC is on your right.

By bus number 4606 or 91-10 from the Massy-Palaiseau train station

Once you get off the train station, take bus 4606 (B or C) or 91.10 to the Orme des Merisiers stop (a 20-minute ride; buses run very frequently in the morning and eveningg – See schedule).

At each airport, you can purchase transit passes at the SNCF and RATP ticket counters or at the “Welcome” and “Tourist Information” desks. You can also book your ticket online.

The bus fare is included in the Navigo weekly or monthly pass. A Navigo Easy card can be loaded with up to 20 individual trips. The Navigo Liberté+ pass (registration required) lets you pay for individual trips using a card or your cell phone at a reduced rate.

By bus number 9 from the RER station “Le Guichet”

From the platform, take the underpass at the front of the train, turn right after the café, and cross the street. Follow the sign for Parc de Stationnement de Corbeville to reach the bus station. Take bus 9 (10-minute ride, buses run every 10 to 20 minutes). The bus fare is included in your weekly or monthly Navigo pass or you need an individual Navigo Easy card / Navigo Liberté+ pass (recomended). Timetables can be found here (enter the line: “9”, stop: “Gare du Guichet, Orsay”). Note that the last bus leaves around 8:00 PM.
