- Project title: ITO Current Source
- Project status: first prototype delivered in September 2025, tested on a 12-ohm / 500 W load, then put into service in October 2025
- Keywords: Arduino, solid-state relay, H-bridge, ITO, power 80 V 10 A
A PhD student wanted to drive an alternating current through their sample Indium Tin Oxyde (ITO), with a maximum value of 80 V and 10 A into a 12-ohm, 500 W resistor. Basically, the goal is to observe bubble formation when a fluid reaches boiling. Since the realization had to be done very quickly, we chose a prototyping board and an Arduino Micro controller, and the use of four fast solid-state relays. The assembly is integrated into a repurposed enclosure.
