The cold neutron imaging spectrometer at the LLB
Description
IMAGINE is a cold neutron imaging spectrometer at the Laboratoire Léon Brillouin (LLB). It allows performing radiography and tomography with fields of view ranging from 20 to 100mm using a sCMOS ANDOR NEO camera. In case large objects need to be measured, radiography can be performed with a field of view of 200x400mm² by using a FUJI image plate.
Several types of sample environment can be provided to the users: furnace (up to 200°C), humidity chamber. The large table for the sample holder allows setting up any sample environment provided by the users.
Data processing
The data preprocessing can be performed using ImageJ and the following macros.
For more advanced users, we suggest using FIJI which is a distribution of ImageJ with all possible plug-in installed.
For tomographic reconstruction, the software OCTOPUS is provided to the users.
An alternative (freeware) possibility is to use the TomoJ plug-in which is fully integrated in ImageJ.
Data transfers
Due to the large amount of data generated in typical imaging experiments (~100 Go), users are advised to bring a storage medium.
It is also possible to use ftp transfers via the ftp.cea.fr server (see documentation).
