The Sol-Gel Lab aims at preparing porous oxide materials through sol-gel processes, with special focus on the control of their chemical reactivity, porosity or shaping. More specifically, our materials can be shaped either as monoliths or as coatings, and/or be functionalized with specific organic molecules and integrated into devices including microsystems (Figure 1). The innovative materials, devices and global solutions to specific problematics we produce are optimized and developed through studies and a detailed understanding at different scales of the underlying fundamental mechanisms involved.
