Nanoporous materials obtained by sol-gel processes
Nanoporous materials are obtained from metal alkoxides (M (OR)xR’4-x, M = Si, Zr, R = CH3, C2H5, R’= chemical function or functionalized chain) via the sol-gel process. This gentle method of synthesis in aqueous or hydro-organic media makes it possible to obtain transparent matrices of good optical quality with controlled porosity and a narrow pore size distributions.
