Dr. Maxime Tricoire did his studies at École Normale Supérieure (ENS) in Paris and obtained a master in molecular chemistry from Sorbonne University in 2017. He then did his PhD at École Polytechnique, under the supervision of Dr. Greg Nocton on the synthesis, characterization, and reactivity of heterobimetallic complexes combining a divalent lanthanide, a redox-active ligand, and a transition metal center. After obtaining his diploma in 2022, he moved to Switzerland to join the group of Prof. Marinella Mazzanti at EPFL and extended his stay by being awarded a SNSF Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowship. There, he worked on the synthesis of lanthanide and actinide complexes in unusual oxidation states for their application in small molecule activation. In 2025, he was recruited by the CEA in the LCMCE to be in charge of the crystallography service as well as the maintenance and development of the analytical instruments of the team.
