It is with great sadness that we learn of the accidental death of Igor Goncharenko during a scuba diving course in the Red Sea. Igor was internationally renowned for his work on the behavior of materials under high pressure and was a shining example of the LLB. Beyond his talents as a scientist and experimenter, we will remember him as a generous and warm friend. We offer his wife Lada and his family our sincere condolences.
