ALADINS project aims to develop a new generation of compact, high-flux neutron sources based on laser–plasma acceleration.
We will present the ALADINS project, which aims to develop a new generation of compact, high-flux neutron sources based on laser–plasma acceleration. By combining an innovative laser-driven electron acceleration scheme with optimized neutron converters, ALADINS seeks to significantly enhance the neutron yield and overall efficiency of laser-based neutron sources. The presentation will outline the project’s planned experimental developments at the CEA UHI100 laser facility, as well as its potential applications in neutron imaging and non-destructive testing.
