The “CLOE – Cristaux Laser pour l’Optique de l’Extrême” joint laboratory, is a partnership between IRAMIS/LIDYL and Cristal Laser, a company specializing in the production of nonlinear optical crystals.
It is supported by the ANR’s “LabCom – Joint Laboratories – Public Research Organizations – SMEs / ETI 2020” program and began in February 2021 and will run for four and a half years.
Based in France, Cristal Laser is a technology leader that grows and manufactures nonlinear optical crystals, such as LBO, BBO, KTP, KTA and RTP crystals for electro-optics, serving the most advanced technologies: laser surgery, life sciences, space, security and defense, as well as numerous materials processing applications.
This ANR contract strengthens the existing collaboration between LIDYL and Cristal Laser. Its aim is to produce high-quality optical components for the generation of ultra-short (attosecond) and/or ultra-high intensity laser pulses, particularly in the ultraviolet range.
Joint laboratory funded by ANR, CEA and Cristal Laser.
