The laser platforms and instrumentation developed and implemented at LIDYL are highly technical devices requiring high-quality technical support.
This support role is grouped at LIDYL within the SLIC group. It includes the essential technical support needed to supply state-of-the-art lasers and manage laser platforms for internal (LIDYL) and external (national and international) users, the mechanical and electronics workshops, the mechanical design office and IT support (webmaster and user assistance).
The design office, equipped with powerful CAD software, and the mechanical workshop, with conventional and numerically-controlled machine tools, enable particularly complex devices to be designed and built in-house.
In the case of experimental devices involving numerous experimental vacuum chambers, with multiple operating safety requirements, vacuum system and safety management is ensured by in-house developed systems, based on PLCs, implementing programs designed and deployed by our electronics workshop.
