Solid State NMR methodology for material studies

Solid State NMR methodology for material studies

Our researches in Solid State NMR aim at developping new experimental, theoretical and computational approaches for the study of materials. They are conducted along four main directions :

  • Solid State NMR: Theory, Simulation and Methodology

  • First-Principles NMR: Ab-initio Calculations of NMR parameters applied to Glass Studies

  • Materials Studies: Structural characterization of Nuclear Waste Materials

  • Radioactive NMR: Tritium MAS NMR

Solid State NMR methodology in glass now allows one to probe site connectivities using through-bond interactions (J coupling) of the order of 10-100 Hz whereas typical line widths are of the order of kHz
