Australia is home to the OPAL multipurpose reactor, equipped with a cold source and neutron instrumentation well suited to the study of soft condensed matter.  In particular, we operate two Small Angle Neutron Scattering instruments, an Ultra-Small Angle Neutron Scattering instrument, Backscattering and Time of Flight spectrometers. In this talk I will give an overview of our instruments, their technical specifications and associated sample environments.  Where possible I will highlight scientific examples of work done on the structure and dynamics of liposomes.
