The COST Action “European Materials Acceleration Center for Energy (EU-MACE) – Action CA22123 – COST” was launched on November 1, 2023.
This action aims to accelerate the development of advanced materials, from their discovery to their integration in low-carbon energy technologies, by connecting researchers and players with new-generation laboratories (i.e. “Material Acceleration Platforms” – MAP), and ensuring their attractiveness to society and the market. Today, it involves over 200 participants from 31 countries, with cutting-edge digital skills and expertise in materials science. Training schools, scientific missions, conferences/workshops and various networking activities are planned to meet the cross-disciplinary challenges facing materials research today.
The first workshop dedicated to “Digitization and automation boost energy materials research” will be held on January 24 and 25, 2024 in Rome, Italy.
