From 29 September to 2 October, Hugues Pothier, a researcher at SPEC, will take to the stage at Les Voûtes in Paris for Supraconducteur!. Performances are free, but booking is required, so be sure to reserve your seat!
What happens inside a metal when it carries an electric current with no resistance and no energy loss? In Supraconducteur!, Hugues Pothier, a quantum physicist in SPEC’s Quantronics group, takes audiences on a journey into the heart of quantum matter, through clouds of nitrogen, levitating metals and electrons that have yet to choose between “here and elsewhere”.
Created with Groupe n+1, the show is part of the Impromptus scientifiques, a series of performances that bring science and poetry together to explore research in a different way. Each performance is followed by a discussion with the audience.
