New developments of the facility aim at integrating the ETSF in the European network of infrastructures – computing infrastructures as well as experimental facilities. Following an FP7 I3 project implemented with the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre, the ETSF is pursuing further collaboration with computing centres through a PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe) project that aim to optimize five ETSF codes on highly parallelized machines.
The ETSF has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF). A joint call for proposals has been organized with the French Synchrotron SOLEIL, and further collaborations are planned with the Swedish MAX-lab and ESS facilities.
