NIMBE researchers took part in the Ecological Transformation Day organized by Veolia on December 5, 2024 in Paris-Saclay.
Sophie Peulon-page (LEDNA), Charlène Boillereau and Ghania-Raihana Benyahia (SATT Paris-Saclay) were present in the “solutions village” to present the Oxyfilms maturation project founded by SATT Paris-Saclay. The aim of this project is to propose innovative eco-responsible methods for water purification using nanostructured films of lamellar manganese oxides synthesized by electrochemistry. This innovation offers significant application potential, and is already attracting interest from industrial companies specializing in water treatment.
Emmanuel Nicolas and Thibault Cantat (LCMCE) presented a project founded by Veolia and SIAAP, and carried out in collaboration with the Collège de France (Prof. Marc Fontecave’s team), on the valorization of biogenic CO2 from wastewater treatment plants into methanol and methane, through formic acid as an intermediate. Thibault Cantat also took part in the round table on accelerating the deployment of local loops.
