Rémi Kahn passed away

imgIt is with a great sadness that we learned that Rémi Kahn passed away.

Historical figure of LLB, he joined the CEA at the SRM in 1967. In the 1970's, he studied vortex networks in conventional superconductors by neutron scattering. He thus worked on the time-of-flight spectrometer of the EL3 reactor. With the "Belgian Mol team", he then participated in the construction of the Mibemol time-of-flight spectrometer installed on the Orphée reactor. Mi of the name Mibemol echoed Rémi Kahn's Mi. Assistant to the director of the LLB in charge of users and relationship with Orphée for many years, he retired in 2003.

Since this time, he has written with Philippe Mangin several books on superconductivity. He was working on the last volume when he left us on January 29, 2023 at the age of 84.

The burial will take place on Friday February 3rd at 2:30 p.m. in the Montparnasse cemetery (main door, 3 bd Edgar Quinet)
No flowers, no wreaths.
