Professional activity

Thema of Research

I am mainly involved in the development of NMR in order to allow better characterization of internal molecular dynamics and to improve the NMR signal through resorting to optically polarized noble gas. My main achievements are:

My current main activities concern the three last points that is the non-linear effects which can be observed in liquid-state NMR. This work is developped in collaboration with the groupes of P.J. Nacher at ENS (Paris) and N. Müller at Univ. J. Keppler (Linz, Austria). In 2013, a common projet, named IMAGINE for "NMR Investigation of MAGnetization-Induced Non-linear Effects" financed by ANR and FWF has been lanched (Austrian web site of the project). A SME, RS2D (Bischwiller, France) also collaborate with us.

The collaboration with N. Müller is also supported by bilateral collaboration project (Austria-France) "Effects of chemical exchange on NMR spectra at high nuclear spin polarisation". In this framework and thanks to the WTZ Amadée Award 2013, N. Müller and H. Desvaux have organized the 1st Austrian-French NMR Symposium 2013 at the institut Français in the center of Vienna (19-20 September 2013).
