The Attophysics group manages the SOFOKLE laser chain, which delivers pulses at a rate of 3 kHz, wavelength 0.8 µm, duration 40 fs, and energy 700 µJ.
A post-compression optical bench reduces the duration to 10 fs, with an output energy of 200 µJ.

In addition to coulombic explosion and electron diffraction experiments, the laser hosted several experiments, including the transient absorption bench of Elsa Cassette (LUMIN, Université Paris-Saclay, formerly in the DICO group at LIDYL) for the study of the temporal dynamics of perovskite-based nanostructures.
The broad spectral bandwidth of the compressed pulses also enabled tunable radiation to be generated in the 375-430 nm band with durations of less than 50 fs for COLTRIMS-type experiments by Danielle Dowek et al (ISMO, Université Paris-Saclay).
