The “PALM International School 2018” aims at providing a wide and comprehensive review of the field of Attosecond Science, from the generation and characterization of attosecond light sources to their use in the study of ultrafast dynamics in different states of matter. It will cover topics spanning from the development of ultrafast sources of visible, XUV and X-ray radiation to the study of isolated quantum systems, of condensed phases and of collective attosecond dynamics. These topics will be presented by leading scientists, who will cover both the basic principles as well as the state-of-the-art of the field. The courses will aim to be accessible to students and young researchers from the master to postdoc level.

The School will take place in the Conference Center in the Chevreuse valley. The center can accommodate all the participants in a large park, a few minutes walking distance from the RER station connecting to downtown Paris in 40 minutes.
