Project SPINFIELD: « Controlling spin angular momentum with the field of light »

How do light fields couple with electronic spins in materials? Are there direct and coherent « light-spin » interactions? We aim to answer these questions through the use of attosecond spectroscopy. See announcement by the ERC and short summary on the LIDYL website.

20202022 Junior Chair of the Labex PALM (Laboratoire d’excellence Physique Atome Lumière Matière: website here)

Project MARMOTT: « Measuring Attosecond-resolved dynamics in MOTT insulators ».

Some materials present unusually strong electronic correlations, which play a major role in their properties. Because electron-electron interactions typically manifest in only a few femtoseconds, we want to study these materials with attosecond spectroscopy and understand how electronic correlations manifests in their time-domain response.
