How to reach SPEC ?

The SPEC (building 772) is located inside the L'Orme des Merisiers campus of the CEA Saclay research center.
  L'Orme des merisiers is outside the main CEA center (see picture below).

The CEA-Saclay research is located on the Saclay plateau, approximatively 20 km in the South-West of Paris.




Arrival by car

Determine the best route with mappy or via Michelin.
As arrival point, fill in Route de l'Orme, town Saint-Aubin, zip code 91190.


Arrival by train and bus

From Paris or from the airports CDG and Orly, take the B-line of the RER train, direction Saint-Rémy-les-Chevreuse to either Massy-Palaiseau or Le Guichet (approximately 25 and 35 minutes ride from Paris, and 1h05 and 1h15 from the CDG airport, respectively). Local bus and the CEA shuttle bus services are available from these stations. Note: From Orly airport, take first the Orlyval to Antony station.

To optimize your trip to SPEC, please consult the website of the local public transports.
For "Arrival point", fill in the field with "Orme des Merisiers, Saint-Aubin".

  • By bus 91-06 or 91-10 from Massy-Palaiseau station
    Once you exit the train, take the bus 91.06 (B or C) or 91.10 till the "Orme des Merisiers" stop (20 minutes ride, very frequent buses in the morning and in the evening). Map of bus stops at Massy-Palaiseau here.
    The bus fare is included in the weekly or monthly pass "Navigo zones 4-5" as well as in the RATP (metro) tickets to and from Paris; otherwise, tickets can be purchased on the bus.

  • By bus 9 from Le Guichet
    From the platform take the pedestrian underpass at the front of the train, turn right after the cafe and cross the street. Follow the sign marked "Parc de Stationnement de Corbeville" to reach the bus terminal. Take the bus 9 (10 minutes ride, interval between buses 10 to 20 minutes).
    The bus fare is included in the weekly or monthly pass "Navigo zone 5" as well as in RATP (metro) tickets to and from Paris (must be written ‘BUS’ on the ticket) otherwise, tickets can be purchased on the bus.
    Timetables here (enter line:"9", departure point: "GARE DU GUICHET, Orsay"). Please be advised that the last bus is around 8pm.
  • CEA shuttle bus service from Le Guichet
    The CEA shuttle stop is located across the street from the bus terminal as described above.
    The shuttle service is scheduled at 7h55, 8h25, 8h50, 9h00, 9h25, 9h40 and 12h55.
     Ask the driver to make a stop at the Orme des Merisiers. Otherwise, the bus will continue directly the main CEA campus.

In the Campus

The main entrance of the Orme des Merisiers in located on the D128 road, at 400m of the Saint-Aubin roundabout between the N306 and D128 roads.

Once you have entered the Orme des merisiers, go straight for approximately 5 minutes and turn on your right when you can ; the SPEC is the only building 772/774. Inside the building, the SPEC is on your right.
