  • Biography

Dr. Caroline Genre did her undergraduate studies in physical chemistry at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon from 2000 to 2004. She was an Erasmus student in Università La Sapienza in Rome in 2002. In 2007 she completed her Ph. D. at École Normale Supérieure de Lyon under the supervision of Dr. Galina Matouzenko and Dr. Sergei Borshch, working on the synthesis and characterization of new spin-crossover coordination polymers. She then was appointed as a National Research Council of Canada post-doctoral fellow in the group of Pr. Christian Reber at Université de Montréal (Quebec), where she studied the pressure- and temperature-dependent Raman and luminescence spectroscopy of platinum and palladium complexes. C. Genre was hired as a researcher by the CEA in July 2009 at the Laboratory of Actinides Chemistry in the Marcoule Institute for Separation Chemistry. She then joined the Cantat Research group in December 2012. Her current research interests are homogenous and heterogenous catalysis as well as materials chemistry.
