Biophysical characterization of the membrane protein mTSPO

The objective of this internship is to characterize the structure of the transmembrane protein mTSPO and its affinity for ligands of pharmacological interest. The study will be carried out in native conditions, by expressing mTSPO in yeast and solubilizing it in biomimetic environments. We will use biophysical tools (optical spectroscopy and SAXS) coupled with ab initio modeling.
