Predefined style formats are available for all the necessary structures that are supposed to be part of the manuscript, and these formats can be quickly accessed via hotkeys or special toolbars. Please download the ZIP file onto your PC and read the instructions

  • Reference styles
For contributed books in the NATO series edited by Springer the choice is offered between two styles for the references, alphabetical and numerical. Please use the alphabetical style.
  • Preparing Illustrations
For the best quality final product, it is highly recommended that you submit all of your artwork - photographs, line drawings, etc. - in electronic format. For detailed information about preparing your illustrations, please follow the hyperlink to the Artwork instructions.


Submission of manuscripts
The preferred mode of submission of manuscripts is electronical submission by e-mail:

Submission deadline: at the ASI desk and on the latest by October 6, 2007

Papers will be reviewed during the ASI manuscripts be returned to the corresponding author for correction by  October 30, 2007.
Proceedings
These will be assigned to the NATO Science for Peace and Security Series: B - Physics and Biophysics. It is agreed with the Publisher (SPRINGER), that the volume  be published within 4 months following receipt in the Publisher's hand of the satisfactory complete typescript.
