Custom made synthesis of single crystal diamond particles

This research internship is part of a study that aims to synthesize single crystal diamond particles with a breakthrough approach, combining a fluidized bed where diamond seeds will be stabilized and a plasma growth by microwave chemical vapor deposition (MPCVD). This will allow the growth of these seeds by homeoepitaxy, guaranteeing an optimal crystalline quality, while controlling the size, shape and doping of the particles. These diamond particles can be used directly for the energy applications developed at LEDNA: CO2 reduction and hydrogen production.
