Igor Goncharenko
It is with deep sadness we have to report that our colleague Igor Goncharenko disappeared on 5 November 2007 during a scuba diving in the Red Sea. His expertises in neutron scattering and very high pressure techniques were unanimously recognized. Igor was as a very clever experimentalist who performed neutron scattering experiment under extreme conditions. His recent work was devoted to the determination of "Unusual properties of solid oxygen and hydrogen under very high pressures" was published in the moost famous review. Igor was one of the prominent researchers of the LLB. He was a much loved and respected colleague and friend. We will miss his expertise, his enthusiasm for science and his friendship. We offer our sincere condolences to his wife Lada, and family.
