The invention relates to the treatment of photoluminescent silicon nanoparticles in order to give them surface functionalities, for example amine radicals or other radicals, that favour their use especially in biology for labelling applications. A reaction is then applied to the nanoparticles in order to create a surface coating that gives the nanoparticles these functionalities, especially a protection against dissolution in an aqueous medium. The process in the sense of the invention comprises, prior to this coating reaction, a passivation of the silicon nanoparticles that favours the creation of bonds of Si‑OH type at the surface, this type of bond making it possible to obtain a multiplicity of functionalities including, in particular, amines, thiols, polyethylene glycol, as surface radicals.

The invention relates to the synthesis of a material including nanoparticles containing oxygen, titanium and nitrogen. According to the invention the method comprises the combustion by a temperature rise of at least 500°C of a precursor containing at least titanium, oxygen and nitrogen. Advantageously, the combustion can be a laser pyrolysis and ammonia can be used both as a reagent supplying the nitrogen element for sensitising the pyrolysis reaction and as a fluid for carrying another reagent supplying the titanium element

(Lien WIPO)

The invention relates to the preparation of a catalytic composition that comprises a carbonated structuring material (MSC) associated with a catalyst (CAT). The invention comprises mixing a solution of a first solvent (SOL1) including the carbonated structuring material (MSC) and a solution of a second solvent (SOL2) including the catalyst (CAT), and agitating (AGM) the resulting mixture up to the precipitation if the catalyst on the carbonated structuring material. According to one asupect, the catalyst and the structuring material are not soluble in the mixture of the first and second solvents. The composition thus obtained can be used after filtration as a material for an electrode in a fuel cell.
