Matériau nanoporeux monolithique, tenant debout tout seul (c'est-à dire auto porté ou cohésif), solide et transparent, essentiellement exempt de fissures, transparent aux UV, obtenu par voie Sol-Gel, ledit matériau présentant un caractère basique et comprenant un réactif capable de générer un produit coloré par formation d'une liaison avec le phénol, un composé basique ou mélange de composés basiques et un composé ou mélange de composés oxydants, procédé de préparation et utilisation dans la détection ou dans la dépollution sélective du phénol ou d'un de ses composés.

Monolithic nanoporous material, standing alone (ie, self-supporting or cohesive), solid and transparent, essentially free of cracks, transparent to UV, obtained by Sol-Gel process, said material having a basic character and comprising a reagent capable of generating a colored product by forming a bond with the phenol, a basic compound or mixture of basic compounds and a compound or mixture of oxidizing compounds the invention also relates to a method for the production thereof and to the use thereof for the selective detection or removal of phenol or a compound thereof.
