  • Biography

Pierre Thuéry graduated from ENSCP and obtained his Ph.D. in 1987 from Orsay University. After three years in industrial research, he joined the CEA in 1990. Following three years working on magnetic neutron diffraction, he has been active in X-ray crystallography for nearly thirty years, while pursuing his own interest in the synthesis and structure of metal ion complexes, coordination polymers or frameworks, particularly those built by the uranyl cation (UO22+) with macrocycles (crown ethers, calixarenes, cucurbiturils) or with polycarboxylic acids.
