Post-doc position available/position post-doctorale ouverte

A postdoctoral position at the Service de Physique de l’Etat Condensé (SPEC), CEA-Saclay (France) will be available starting in the fall of 2009. The research project concerns the experimental study of the new iron-based superconductors and will be more particularly focused on the study of their transport properties. It will take benefit of direct participation of the physical chemistry group in SPEC in which very good single crystals have been grown. Transport measurements will be done in SPEC and on European High field facilities in Toulouse. The successful candidate will have a well documented previous experience in solid state physics and possibly in transport measurements. He/she will interact mainly with F. Rullier-Albenque at SPEC as well as other experimental groups around Saclay including ARPES and RMN groups in Orsay and neutron group at Saclay. The position is available for one year, with a possible extension, and is granted by the "Triangle de la Physique" to promote collaboration between these research groups of the Saclay-Orsay-Palaiseau area. Interested applicants might obtain more detailed information by contacting directly F. Rullier-Albenque. They should send their curriculum vitae, and arrange for two references to be sent to Dr. Florence Rullier-Albenque SPEC, Orme des Merisiers, CE Saclay, 91191 Gif-sur-Yvette cedex, France. As SPEC belongs to the Atomic Energy Commission, the applicants must be informed that a security inquiry (~ 2 months delay) is necessary before arrival on this position.
